The last time I've been to Star City was in the early 90's and it was nothing more than an ordinary carnival you see in barangay fiestas all around the country. But when my family and I went there for Christmas Eve, it has transformed into a freakin' awesome theme park. And as I promised my brother, I'm here to blog about all the rides we went through. (above photo is not mine. :P)
First Stop: LAND OF THE GIANTS
The first "ride" we entered was an attraction with huge insects. There was even a giant spider on the wall. My first reaction: "It's Aragog!" I wish I could say that my youngest brother enjoyed the journey to the exit, but he was clinging to my dad's arm like Super Glue.
Second Stop: BUMPER CARS
By this time, I was jumping up and down because of seeing all the roller coasters around. Sadly, my siblings and parents are all terrified of roller coasters so I was forever alone *insert meme here*. Thus, we walked through the winding path towards the bump cars where I shared a car with my youngest brother. It was fun though, he was shouting in my ear all throughout the ride. haha.
While walking on the way, we saw these freaky rides and we all agreed never to ride on them for fear of dear life... plus the fact that I might barf on all the people within range. (photos not mine)
Third Stop: DINNER, ARCADE, and LAZER BLASTER
No, it's not a ride, but I had to eat dinner before riding roller coasters. While waiting for our turn at the Lazer Blaster (it's basically a laser tag combat game), we discovered some arcade games and we played for a bit (Tokens were 15 pesos each O_O) then my brother and I ran towards the laser tag area. Nadine and I joined the blue team, while Dad and BJ joined the green team. I gotta say I'm a pretty good sniper. Too bad I got hit once or twice. :3
Fourth Stop: DUNGEON
Actually, when Nadine, BJ and I entered the Dungeon, Dad and Jed weren't there. This was just a scripted shot made before we left the park. Anyway, we walked into the DARK dungeon and I freaked out. I can take all the scary stuff, but I can't take the dark. That just freaks me out too much... so we all backed out and agreed never to mention it again.
Fifth Stop: STAR FLYER
(Photo not mine) I was the only one who went on this ride, actually, because I'm the only one who was excited enough to ride it. *insert forever alone meme*. To tell you the truth, it wasn't that exciting. After the first dip and the part where you go upside down, the adrenaline just wasn't pumping anymore so... yeah. :P
Sixth stop: BALLOON WHEEL
This one is my very own photo (I guess I should have watermarked it first but anyway). This Ferris Wheel ride was very funny. First, my siblings and I observed how the ride goes - You get on, the wheel turns ONCE, then you get off. *facepalms* Second, both my siblings are afraid of heights... and they were both hanging on for dear life while I jump around taking photos. Here's my favorite:
Seventh stop: WILD RIVER
I have developed this theory in this kind of ride. The person in front gets wet THE LEAST. I'm going to keep this short: I prefer Enchanted Kingdom's Jungle Log Jam. It was much more exciting.
Eighth stop: SNOW WORLD
My dad decided to get us tickets to the Snow Wonderland where my nose almost fell off (good thing I bought earmuffs). At least I got to try the SLIDE!! Now THAT was something I would do again... But first, I need to find a way to keep my nose and my toes and my fingers warm... and not fall off.
Ninth stop: PIRATE ADVENTURE
For this ride, I promised my brother I would make a photo edit.
Tenth stop: BLIZZARD
So after that disappointing ride, I managed to drag Nadine to ride a ROLLER COASTER!! It was awesome! :)
Eleventh stop: TIME TUNNEL
We traveled back in time.... and that's it. :P
Twelfth stop: FISH SPA
And that's the end of our Star City experience. :)
